This workshop addressed your holiday concerns such as:
"Everyone expects so much from me and I'm not up to it this year."
"I hurt so much. How can I make it through the holidays?"
"There's no way I can prepare a meal like I used to."
"How can we enjoy Christmas when a family member is missing?"
"I am so overwhelmed. I just want to crawl into a hole until it's over."
"How do I honor my loved one during this time?"
"I'm not sure I'll be able to stop crying."
"How long will I feel like this?"
In this workshop, you will create a personalized plan for getting through the holidays in a way that honors your needs and limitations as well as acknowledges the feelings and needs of other family members. Debbra will provide tips and ideas for a starting point for addressing common concerns encountered in the first or second holiday season after the loss of a loved one.
The Holiday Plan worksheet will help you consider what you want and what you don't want ahead of time so you communicate with family members and invite their support during this difficult time.
You will learn strategies to reduce misunderstandings and get the support you need.
There will be a Question and Answer time to get ideas for specific needs and situations.
